Since 1982, the Sinai Peninsula has been given back to Egypt by Israel and is now part of Egypt.
It is the 3d among the most populated lands of Africa, after Nigeria and Ethiopia but its population which is more than 80 000 inhabitants and still growing, is located by 90% mainly along the Nile, particularly between Fayoum and Alexandria, including Cairo and the Delta.
Besides this fertile strip along the River, which is at its widest part only 24 Km and at its narrowest part no more than a few meters, the rest of the country is a vast desert and these are the awesome deserts which we are proud to offer you. – Sinai – Libyan Desert with the White Desert – The New Valley’s Oasis etc…
Egypt’s Capital is Cairo, (Al Qayra) and this city of more than million of inhabitants is by far the most populated city of Egypt.
Arabic is the official language, but there are a few dialects still used across the country (siwi, Nubian etc…). Coptic which is considered to be descending from the Ancient Egypt’s language is still used as a liturgical language by the Egyptian Christians.
